Please excuse the appearance of my space....there is learning and editing occuring at this time. You can teach Old Dogs New Tricks, contrary to popular beliefs.!!! That is what is happening here. Hopefully it will develop in time, like ........develops with time. I teach in the Wappinger School District in Wappinger Falls, New York. At present, I am teaching Ninth grade Earth Science. In the past I have taught a course named Science and Society, which was an environmentally based science. It was an interesting and challenging course to teach. I also received many positive comments from the students. Such as "this is the first science class I enjoyed." or "This is the first science class I have done well in and understood." It appealed to both male and female students alike. Unfortunately the budget in the school district caused it to be eliminated from the curriculum. I am hoping its value will be recognized again sometime in the future. This was not an AP course, it was directed to the average student who wanted or needed a good experience in science. At present there is hope that an AP Environmental course will soon be made available. You can add a blank line to this text by pressing the "F10" key. To remove a line, press the "F6" key.
