I received my BS in Biology and my MS in Science education from CUNY City College. and my AAS in nursing from Rockland Community College. I am certified in Biology, Chemistry and Earth Science.I am presently teaching regents-level chemistry and a college-level forensic science course students may choose to obtain 3 college credits through Mercy College.

I helped write the general chemistry program for NYS and was the turnkey trainer for Orange, Rockland, and Westchester counties. I received the STANYS OSTA award for excellence in teaching in 1996. I have been instrumental in helping to establish the New York State Science Honor Society and established the Newburgh chapter #24. I am presently acting as co-advisor to chapter #24 with Bernadette Gingrich.

As an EMT/Paramedic III, I served 18 years as a volunteer on local ambulance corps. I became a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) 1985 and am presently doing private duty work as needed. One of my specialty areas is safety. I have written articles for the Laboratory Safety Workshop newsletter, Jim Kaufman editor, and the Chemistry Club's newsletter. I have presented many science and safety issues for STANYS at the annual conference and SE section. I have two married children; my daughter Jill and her husband, Mark, have three-year-old, twin boys. They live nearby to us.My husband, Bob and I will be married 36 years this August. My son Lee and his wife, Jill, live in Coral Springs, Florida.
